Falk Wedding

It's been a few days... and since getting back, work and traffic have been piling in massive ugly heaps around me. It's September, alright! Just a quick update, before I get back into that pile:

To recap: we had the pleasure of 16 hours in the car driving to Annapolis this weekend. This was to attend the wedding of Josh's good friend from 7th grade, Josh, to his now-wife, Hilary. A few pics:

Day of Crappiness

Yeah, I know - crappiness isn't a real word. I've been saving this picture for just the right occasion and I think it is upon us (me, Josh).

Inventory of the idiotic things we've done in the last 24 hours:

Me: put an unscrewed water bottle in my purse with my camera. The camera is now fried, probably. (Yes, I have been looking at buying a new camera, I just didn't mean to jump into it like this!! So I'll probably be fishing through some old pics for posts in the near future... )

Josh: noticed that he'd booked us tickets for this weekend, to attend a wedding in Annapolis, from Baltimore to Boston. If you've lost track (as he did), we live in BOSTON. So, we'll be headed down there by automobile, it seems.

We suck.

Tourists in Medford

Saru notes: it's like we're tourists now...everywhere! (in response to me always carrying a camera).

Yellow Leaves. Fuzzy grass-like stuff, and some real grass. In the Middlesex Fells Reseveration. In...Medford?

Weeds

Weeds, outside a pizza place in Arlington. They were whacked (weed-whacked) the next time I walked by there, sadly. Next thing you know, someone will fix those green paint spots too. How sad.

They seemed like fun for the first mile or so. Scary to run on.

Acadian Vistas

A last minute change of plans took us to the Bar Harbor/Acacia National Park area this weekend. We'd planned carefully for a whitewater rafting trip in upstate NY, which would have been cold, rainy and (we realized at the last minute) a 3-hr drive from the campsite we'd booked - oops! Northern Maine seemed to be the only dry spot within 6 hours of Boston for the long weekend, so that's where we headed.

This first fine "vista" is looking north over Jordan Pond at the "Bubbles." Personally, I think they need a bra. Josh obliged for this silly photo:

Goat What?

Most disturbing me is the illustration. Does that look like goat?? Nevermind all the other things wrong with this sign.
