First Post

I've been inspired to start a photo blog (thanks, Melissa!). I'm not one for words, so much, but do like the idea of a visual timeline and/or portal. I wish I'd started this 20 years ago, but sadly, the internet was just for uber-geeks back then.

I'm starting off with an old picture, just so I can kick this thing off. It's an orchid that was growing in the lava field next to the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica (October 2005).
