When did Sydney start looking so old? Wasn't my oldest niece just a baby a few months ago? And today Jeni turned 5 (happy birthday, Jeni!). Is this a sign that I'm getting to be old - just a few steps away from middle age? Then again, college students are starting to look really young. Can someone explain?

Sydney (and ponderings on aging)
When did Sydney start looking so old? Wasn't my oldest niece just a baby a few months ago? And today Jeni turned 5 (happy birthday, Jeni!). Is this a sign that I'm getting to be old - just a few steps away from middle age? Then again, college students are starting to look really young. Can someone explain?

Remember when we were at the Rusted Root concert and a college student said that the band was like, so cross-generational because his thirty-year-old brother listened to them? Yikes. "Well, but I was so much older then, I feel younger than that now."
