As seen from inside and outside a sun tent, where I attempted to lie in peace for a few moments before Attack of the Toddler.
Zach enjoyed the water quite a bit more than last year, though came home with a nasty bout of diarrhea and a little bit of vomiting. The vomiting started in Karl's Sausage Kitchen followed by round 2 on the Wade's chair, which I got a bit excited about and and threw onto the wall (accidentally, of course). Thankfully, that was not captured on film.

Maya
Before this picture becomes completely out of date - which happens fast with newborns - here's is Maya Husain, Bhuv and Hyder's tiny new addition, fresh out of the hospital a bit over a week ago, congrats!
Zach can't wait till she's a bit more alert and upright so he can play with her. For now, it appears he will just state "baby" every minute or 3 at random intervals when he sees her, in case we weren't aware that she is indeed, a baby.

Taking on the Freddo
Zach displays enthusiasm for the whipped cream atop my Peet's mango tea freddo. This began with repeating, "mine" once he had his first taste if I attempted to take a sip.
Mental note: next time, have them put the cream in a separate cup. This will both limit the toddler's caffeine intake, and save mom a few hundred calories.

Thursday's
More pictures from the holiday weekend. From a waterfront, middle-of-nowhere-feeling crab place. I don't exactly know where it was - I think somewhere east of Annapolis, called Thursday's, feel free to look it up.
It was the only place large enough to seat the 15 of us or so who were supposed to be at the Parthenon on short notice. (back story: Josh had rallied a crowd so Jimmy, the owner, would open specially for us. Jimmy ended up being diverted to Atlantic City, so we had to make alternate plans.)
Assessment: Thursday's had nice light/ambiance, though a long wait for food. But tasty cream of crab soup.
Sarah accidentally centers herself in canine symmetry:

And food! (I ordered this soup for me, but Zach ended up eating/wearing most of it).

4th of July Parade
Zach's 2nd parade, for the 4th holiday, in Annapolis, which he rode to on his new (hand-me-down) push trike, in a mini pre-parade of adults wearing red.
Along with about 12 mayoral candidates, here's Sydney and her swim team, marching in the actual parade, a patriotic dog, and Jenn and Sarah on the sidelines.
