Tidal Weeds

I tried to find something funny to post today, but I just can't seem to get away from these weed pictures. This one, dead, is growing over a bed of live ones in a pool that is either tidal or undrained rain-water - it wasn't obvious.

Self Portrait in Sand

And some plain old (wet) sand that looks like the surface of the moon, as I imagine that to look.

My new ride

Kidding! Just temporary construction gear in my parking spot.

Would be fun, maybe. Just a bit slow on the Pike.

Teeth

Do I need an explanation? It's just something dumb, silly for the end of the week. This was through a window in a junk store somewhere near home.

Altered Reality of Swamp Trees

This was in Arlington Great Meadows conservation - which is in Lexington, mostly, off the bike path. It's basically a small swamp with grass, and feels like it resides in the middle of nowhere, till you abruptly wander out of it into a suburban neighborhood. The geography is a bit confusing, overall.

Just to mess with you, this photo is turned upside-down.

Pretty pink flowers

Sorry, but there's no better way to put it.

Halibut Point

Drove up to Rockport yesterday to check out Halibut Point State Park. It's a small but action-packed little place, with an old granite quarry,

overlooking a rocky beach.

All in all, lots of rocks.

Dead Fish

It's been a busy week, hence my lack of recent postings. Josh recently bought me a scanner, which I've been having great fun with. I'm so far mostly just scanning embarrassing pictures from our past. Tonight, in honor of a tasty sushi dinner, I tried it out on this old print of dead fish from the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo.

Maybe more on the old embarrassing stuff later.
